ALBERT LIN
Executive Producer
Dr. Lin is an award winning scientist, technologist, explorer, and adventurer with a knack for storytelling both on stage and the big screen. As a problem solver, he has reinvented how we explore and has made headlines around the world for his expansive work combining technology with exploration. His projects range from an effort to search for the tomb of Genghis Khan in Mongolia (using satellites, crowdsourcing, drones, and ground penetrating radar) to expeditions remapping major sites in China and Guatemala (using satellites and Lidar) to his most recent efforts to redefine human bionic capabilities with bio-monitors and 'flow' experiments.
ALEX HOWARD
Director / Producer
Having lived all over the world, Alex realized that the one thing that captivated any individual regardless of language, race or religion are stories. Stories are what connect us. Alex knew that he wanted to pursue stories for the rest of his life and to share those stories with others. An avid lover of the ocean and surfing, he loves to spend his time capturing moments in the water. Having worked on all aspects of film from drone work, water videography, storyboarding, editing and everything in between he is in a constant pursuit to tell stories that connect people.
JOHN HARRINGTON
Director of Photography
Growing up in New England, John was exposed to the ocean from a very young age. His experiences while diving and surfing in these cold waters shaped him into a formidable waterman. He specializes in underwater cinematography, acting as Director of Photography for a number of Shark Week, Discovery Channel and Animal Planet shows around the world.
JEFF OKUYAMA
Water Safety
Jeff Okuyama, 40 years old. Born and raised in Hawaii. City and county of Honolulu lifeguard. North shore lifeguard 15 years, Rescue craft operator 10 years. 50 ton master mate captains license, Rescue Scuba diver certified. Worked water safety for various films, and surf competitions including The Quiksilver in memory of Eddie Aikau, and WSL triple crown and Pipeline Masters.
THOMAS BACKER
Producer
Thomas Backer is a documentary TV and film EP and Producer with over 15 years of experience. Having built his career producing content in some of the most demanding and dangerous conditions throughout the world, Thomas understands the needs of production in order to get the job done effectively and under budget.
MELISSA CABRAL
Logistics Producer
Melissa Cabral is a producer with over 15 years experience who has worked on every type of project imaginable, big and small. She has worked with fortune 500 companies to produce various video projects as well as produced a documentary series that aired on PBS. She specializes in documentary style storytelling.
